Let's go back to a Tuesday just a few weeks ago to set the scene for you.
In the morning you received an email from me talking about Isaiah 54:10.
In that email, I mentioned this passion and excitement for thinking of someone hearing that verse for the first time.
Now, I'll take you to noon-o'clock that same day. I had this stirring passion to share the Lord's love with someone, and that's when I met Robert.
I was on my way inside to get an art piece framed, and Robert was sitting outside the door. His legs were amputated and he wasn't bothering anyone at all.
He merely was sitting there.
Let me pause here to point out, when the Lord knows the desires of your heart - He brings opportunities.
I knew this was my chance.
As I was leaving the frame shop, I went into our car to put my son in his car seat. As I turned on our car, I sat and prayed with my almost 2 year old.
I told him we were going to go talk to that man.
We drove up, asked Robert what he wanted for lunch and took his order.
As we went to pick up his Whopper and Large Coke my son and I prayed for Robert.
We prayed that he would feel God's love today and that he would come to know Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior.
As I got closer to the framer where Robert was waiting for his lunch, I stopped and realized that I didn't have any scripture ready with me to hand to him.
But I did have a card and Isaiah 54:10 in my email from that morning.
I wrote down the verse in my card, and added it to Roberts lunch bag.
That's when I realized how I need to prepare myself better for moments like this.
It's not a question whether this should be a frequent occurrence or not. It should.
Getting a homeless man's lunch shouldn't be rare for a Christian, this should be normal.
The Bible tells us to have the oil in our lamps ready for the coming of Jesus. We are told to be the salt of the Earth. This means I should be ready and prepared to give my testimony.
Part of that is being equipped. That's the heart behind why I've decided to start sharing these digital art prints with scripture on them.
They are something you can print multiple of and put them in the glove box of your car to share.
This art isn't just for you to add as a reminder in your home.
It is to be shared with as many people as possible.
Because the art isn't the star of the show, it's the scripture on the page.
Now, I encourage you to go find your Robert.
Be a light today sister.
I will be praying for your boldness and trust the Lord will give you wisdom.
When you have, come back and tell me your story. See you next week, same time, same place!
